What is wrong with us?

I read something today that made me really angry...our family recieves the WORLD magazine (their link is in our favorites list), and not too long ago, the magazine sent out an issue about the abortion battle in America.  I read a short article in this magazine that reported a Virginia woman gave birth to an infant and then smothered it.  Since the baby was born , officials would certainly consider this to be a case of murder, right? Wrong.  The child's umbilical cord had not been cut, so Virginia officials did not rule this as murder. VA law requires that the child be "independent and seperate existance apart from its mother before its death" in order for him to be considered a murder victim. So, in their eyes, this was not a case of murder.

This makes me so angry!  I mean, this was a living, human being!  And yet, people accept the fact that a woman killed her child!  But then, why should this suprise me?  The murder of America's children happens everday.  How can people do this?  I mean, whatever your reason, is it really one that is worthy of murder? Hardly!  God forgive America...may He give us the strength to fight such a wicked practice and the grace of setting our nation on the right path!

God bless,

  1. This makes me want to cry. It is truly sad, and this mother and the judge who sided with her need our prayers.
